About Us

The Edgy Vedge is a plant-based eatery for vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike. We’re not basic, but our beliefs are. We pride ourselves on damn good food, a welcoming atmosphere and phenomenal service. We serve minimal waste cocktails, use recyclable packaging and high five turtles as they swim by.

Planted among the palm trees on Market Street in Camana Bay, we set up our roots in the heart of Seven Mile Beach to offer the kind of food that comforts you like ice cream during a break up, or bacon on that Sunday hangover. Only vegan, of course.

Because we’re all about doing it the right way, we partnered with globally recognized Executive Chef, Author, and Consultant Doug McNish, the man known for “veganizing” classic comfort foods and creating gourmet gastronomical marvels.

Our veganized ideas are so good we couldn’t choose just one (you’re welcome). Dine in, or out, on our trendy, plant-draped patio, sip a cocktail so good it will make Tom Cruise jealous, bring a Tinder date, or invite your mates for dinner. We’re here for it all (except bad food, we won’t do that).

Our marketplace features an ever-changing selection of hot and cold ready-made meals and snacks, juices, and locally roasted coffee selections (because caffeine). Our fridges are filled with homemade healthy treats and made-from-scratch baked goods, with take home sauces and retail options. If it was born in a box or a barn, you won’t find it here.

Toss in some hospitality pros with a love of all things food and exceptional service, and you’ve got a recipe for a good ol’ mind-blowing.

We’re changing the way you view veganism by creating food that’s just too damn good. We work hard to produce consistently delicious food while being kind to the environment and our animal friends.

Executive Chef, Doug McNish

He started his career cooking in a British pub at 15 years old and has gained accolades such as ‘Best Chef in Toronto’ and ‘Best Vegan Cookbook in the World’ for 3 of his 4 cookbooks. Doug travels the world consulting on numerous new vegan ventures and likes to challenge people’s attitudes to what vegan food is.

Doug has curated the most incredible menu for The Edgy Vedge and will work closely with our kitchen team to ensure quality and deliciousness is served. Every. Single. Time.
